High-Barrier Co-extruded Film
Multi-layer co-extrusion in one pass, usable for food packaging without a separate lamination step
Multi-layer co-extrusion in one pass, usable for food packaging without a separate lamination step
A high-barrier film formed in one pass from multiple layers such as PA, PE, PP and EVOH using cast and downward-blown co-extrusion with water cooling. Unlike a printed film plus a separate lamination step, co-extrusion does not add adhesive during forming; the bond between layers comes from the materials and the process. Actual barrier performance depends on the number of layers, the EVOH ratio and total thickness, and has to be confirmed for each product.
Specified around the product.
- Multiple layers formed in one pass
- No separate laminating adhesive layer
- Thickness and stiffness adjustable to the packing machine
- Suited to food packaging where odour control matters
